Enhancing Subject Knowledge for Teaching Secondary Mathematics for Early Career Teachers

This project is designed to support secondary early career teachers (teachers in their first two years of teaching) in developing specialist knowledge for teaching mathematics, thus enabling them to understand, teach and support pupils in maths in the classroom.

What: A blend of collaborative group sessions, one-to-one support and resources to take a deeper look at multiplicative reasoning and the challenges facing early career mathematics teachers.

Each session will last 1 hour from 3:30 until 4:30 with time afterwards for those that would like bespoke discussions. There will be resources and further support available to participants to guide them through their first few years as a maths teacher.

The SKTM – Secondary Early Career Teachers project is fully funded by the Maths Hubs Programme so is free to participating schools.
