A FREE WEBINAR: Curriculum Prioritisation in Primary Mathematics for 2021-22

16:00 to 17:15

Curriculum Prioritisation in Primary Mathematics for 2021-22

An expert guide to the newly released national materials from the NCETM.

  • Are you a busy school leader or primary teacher who wants to be up to date and in ‘the loop’ about the latest support and resources available for primary mathematics?
  • Do you recognise, as outlined in the latest DfE guidance, that there will be a need for curriculum prioritisation during the academic year 2021-22?
  • Would you like a ‘tour’ led by an expert guide through the latest free materials produced by the NCETM to support teaching and learning from Year 1 to Year 6?
  • Are you interested to know more about other free support that will be available to teachers locally next year through the Sussex Maths Hub?

If so, join us for our next webinar on Monday 13th September from 4pm-5:15pm when we will welcome Kate Mole, Assistant Maths Hub Lead from London SW to take us on a ‘guided tour’ of the newly released materials to support curriculum prioritisation. Kate is a very experienced mastery specialist teacher who has played a key role in the development of the new resources. Our own friendly Sussex Maths Hub team will also be on hand to manage the chat box and ask Kate the key questions we all want to know the answers to, about long, medium and short term plans plus the flexibility built into the overview. Kate will share the rationale, model some of the materials and talk you through the planning process. We will also allow plenty of time for Q & A!

At the Sussex Maths Hub we believe strength comes through collaboration. It is our goal to support leaders and teachers so that pupils develop knowledge, skills and confidence in mathematics. We work together to address the specific challenges we face, and after two disrupted years due to Covid, the newly released national materials from the NCETM to support curriculum prioritisation could not have come at a better time.

Here is some feedback from our previous webinars:

“Thank you very much for this really informative webinar. The resources look great and I’m looking forward to using them in my class and sharing them with other colleagues.”

“Thank you all! Another excellent webinar run by Sussex Maths Hub.”

So don’t delay, secure your place and sign up today. Then sit back, pour yourself a beverage and get ready to be part of a conversation that we hope will have a really positive impact on schools, teachers and children throughout next year and beyond!
