WEBINAR: Teaching Primary Maths Remotely

Teaching Primary Maths Remotely:
A FREE WEBINAR for the teachers of Sussex led by a team of local leaders of maths education from the Sussex Maths Hub
Do you know your loom from your zoom? Are you grappling with Google Classroom, Tapestry, DB primary or Seesaw? Are you using free or premium resources from White Rose? Have you tried narrating a PowerPoint from the NCETM? Have you heard that a play station can be used as a vehicle for remote learning? Are you dabbling with content from the Oak Academy? Maybe you are trying to adapt your regular teaching slides for a virtual audience, including using Maths No Problem or Power Maths? Would you like to find out more about using manipulatives virtually? Maybe you are even having a go at some ‘live’ delivery?
If so, pull up a chair, pour yourself a hot beverage of your choice and join the Sussex Primary Team for an informal ‘teach meet’ style webinar where our team will share their own experiences of switching to remote learning overnight for lockdown ‘3’. It will be a ‘whistle-stop tour’ of colleagues’ real life experiences of ‘going remote’ from a diverse group of schools and settings across Sussex. Our large panel will be ready to do their best to answer your questions and will welcome your feedback and top tips too. At a time of lockdown, collaboration has never been more important.
This session is aimed at everyone involved in teaching primary maths in Sussex including teachers, maths leads and trainees. We will record the session for reference on our website but do hope you can join us for the live event so you can be part of the conversation.
