In this video, maths MAT leaders share their reflections on the impact of their work with Sussex Maths Hub, including how engagement with our Hub and our leadership programmes has influenced their practice, confidence, and strategic reach.

Kevin has worked with the Sussex Maths Hub since 2019. He has completed the PD lead training, and Mastery Specialist Training, which has enabled him to run Teaching for Mastery Work Groups with the Hub for the past several years. In 2022/23, Kevin decided to expand his training further and joined the School Development (SD) Lead programme. Jake has been Maths Lead at St Joseph’s for the past 5 years. The Mastery Specialist programme was Jake’s first experience of working with Maths Hubs, and he was keen to lead the Mastery journey within his school. He completed the programme in 2023. Jess has been Head of Maths at Cardinal Newman Catholic School for 6 years. Having previously been involved in the Local Leaders of Education (LLME) Networks with the Sussex Maths Hub, Jess applied to join the Cohort 6 Secondary Mastery Specialist training programme, which she completed in 2023.
